Accessibility statement
This statement covers the Likan desktop application and this website. Veldris wants everyone who looks after data to be able to use Likan, whatever their sight, hearing, movement or way of working.
What we aim for
Likan is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. In particular:
- every action, including every drag on the Drop Board, the mapping studio and the ontology canvas, can be done with the keyboard alone;
- every drag also works with a mouse, a finger or a pen, and handwriting goes into any text field through Windows;
- light, dark and high-contrast themes follow your Windows settings, and Likan keeps its emphasis in Windows' contrast themes;
- the layout reflows down to 320 pixels wide and respects your text size and spacing;
- changes are announced to screen readers, and every control has a name;
- Likan is written in plain British English, and every problem it finds comes with a plain explanation.
How we test
Each release is checked automatically with axe-core against WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 at levels A and AA on every screen, in light, dark and forced-colour modes, together with checks for reflow, text spacing and visible keyboard focus. A keyboard-only run drives the main journey with no pointer at all. People also test with Narrator, NVDA, Windows contrast themes, zoom and Voice Access, and data stewards take part in usability sessions.
Known limitations
We know of no part of Likan that fails WCAG 2.2 AA. Likan's own AI does not describe images; it works with the text and numbers in your data.
This website
This site uses no script, no cookies and nothing from other sites. It follows the same colours, typefaces and checks as the application.
