After you install
- Start Likan from the Start menu. The first run creates your signing identity and checks the on-device AI; it takes about a minute and asks nothing.
- Drop a spreadsheet on the Drop Board, or choose Quick Start and pick a file.
- The command-line tool is ready too: open a new terminal and run
likan --version.
If Likan's window does not open, your PC is missing Microsoft Edge WebView2. Likan shows the steps to install it, and what to send your IT team if your organisation manages the PC. Microsoft's download is at developer.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/webview2.
For organisations
- Deploy the Microsoft Store app to your devices with Intune (Apps, Windows, Microsoft Store app).
- For managed estates and networks with no internet access, Veldris provides a signed MSI that installs silently and carries everything it needs, including WebView2 and the AI model.
- Your IT team can add a firewall rule for the AI worker by policy; Likan's operator guide gives the steps for Intune, Group Policy and Configuration Manager.
Contact Veldris at hello@veldris.io or on 0203 195 3829 (Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time; from outside the UK, +44 20 3195 3829).

On-device AI suggestions need a processor with AVX2, FMA and F16C and at least 6 GB of memory. On other PCs they are switched off and everything else works. The AI model is kept in your user profile on the system drive (about 2.5 GB). Likan uses Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is part of Windows 11 and is kept up to date on Windows 10 by Windows Update.
